Recycled Mix Colored Granules

Recycled Mix Color Granules (Base Layer Expert)

Project overview

At Khandesh Rubtech Pvt Ltd, we manufacture premium Mix Color SBR Granules specifically engineered for use as a high-performance Base Layer in all sports infrastructure. By mixing various recycled color rubbers, we provide a versatile product that offers the same technical elasticity as black SBR but with a superior aesthetic finish.

The Role of Mix Color Granules in Sports Infra Our Mix Color granules are the "engine room" of a professional sports surface. While the top layer provides the color, the Mix Color Base Layer provides the safety and bounce.

Application/Uses
1. Running Tracks (Base Layer)

Used in the construction of "Sandwich" or "Full-Pour" tracks.

Shock Absorption: Our mix color granules are processed to maintain high elasticity, reducing the impact on athletes' joints.

Cost-Efficiency: Provides a colorful, consistent base that reduces the amount of expensive EPDM top-coat required.

2. Synthetic Turf (Infill Base Layer)

For football and hockey turfs, the base layer of infill is critical.

Stability: The multi-angular shape of our mix granules ensures they don't shift under the turf, providing a stable playing field.

Heat Reduction: Mix color granules often absorb less heat compared to pure black rubber, keeping the field temperature more comfortable.

3. Multi-Purpose Sports Courts

Ideal for schools and community centers where a "Wet-Pour" system is used. The mix color base ensures that if the top layer wears down over years of use, the base layer still looks professional and intentional.

Technical Q&A: Mix Color Base Layer
Q: Why use Mix Color instead of plain Black SBR for the base layer?

Ans: While both offer similar shock absorption, Mix Color Granules provide a more "premium" look during the installation phase. For sites where the top layer might be thin or translucent, the mix color base prevents the "black-bleed" effect, ensuring the final surface color looks vibrant and deep.

Q: Is the quality of Mix Color granules the same as Black SBR?

Ans: Yes. At Khandesh Rubtech, our Mix Color granules undergo the same rigorous de-dusting and metal-removal process at our Nimrani plant. They are 99% wire-free and fiber-free, ensuring a perfect bond with PU binders.

Q: Can these be used in "All-Weather" sports sites?

Ans: Absolutely. Our granules are designed to handle the diverse Indian climate—from the humidity of Madurai to the heat of Madhya Pradesh. They do not harden or become brittle, maintaining their "spring" for years.

Q: What is the standard grain size for base layer applications?

Ans: We typically recommend our 1.0mm – 4.0mm size. This allows for excellent drainage (porosity) while providing enough surface area for the PU binder to create a rock-solid foundation.

Q: Why are mixed color granules considered the most cost-effective option?
Ans
: They offer the "best of both worlds." You get the high elastic performance and safety of premium recycled rubber, but because we utilize a mix of high-quality colored rubber sources during manufacturing, we can offer them at a price point much closer to standard black SBR than expensive virgin EPDM.

Q: Does 'cost-effective' mean lower quality?
Ans
: Not at all. At Khandesh Rubtech, cost-effective means Efficiency. Our granules are manufactured at our Nimrani plant using the same high-intensity magnetic separation and de-dusting processes as our top-tier products. You get the same durability and safety—just at a better price point for your bottom line.

Cost-Effectiveness & Value Engineering

"Khandesh Rubtech's mixed color rubber granules are highly cost-effective, providing a premium-tier foundation at a fraction of the cost of virgin polymers."
By choosing our mixed color granules for your base layer, you achieve significant project savings without sacrificing performance:
EPDM Alternative: While virgin EPDM is often used for aesthetics, using our cost-effective mixed color SBR for the base layer (9mm–10mm) allows you to reserve your budget for the top wear coat.

Reduced Pigment Costs: Because the granules already contain various colors, they require less binder-pigment saturation to achieve a deep, rich look compared to plain black granules.

Bulk Project Savings: For large-scale sports infrastructure—like 400m running tracks or full-size football turfs—switching to our mixed color granules can reduce total material costs by 15% to 25%.

Why it matters for your site:

For Turf Infill: It keeps the infill layer looking clean and professional while staying within the project's budget.

For Running Tracks: It provides the critical shock-absorption layer (Base Layer) that meets athletic standards while being the most economical choice for the contractor.
